CCTV for factories and warehouses

Large compounds, long cable runs, dust, heat, and a night shift with fewer people around. Factory CCTV needs different planning from a home or shop.

Surya Computers plans and installs CCTV for factories, workshops and warehouses toward Zundal, Chandkheda and the surrounding industrial pockets. We work with IP cameras, NVRs and PoE switches built for long distances and outdoor conditions.

Where factory cameras go

  • Main gate and security cabin: every vehicle in and out, with a camera placed to catch number plates.
  • Loading and unloading bays: material counts, damage disputes with transporters.
  • Boundary wall: especially the side facing open land, where climb-overs happen at night.
  • Raw material and finished goods stores: the highest-value areas inside.
  • Production floor: for process monitoring and safety, if you want it.

Why we use IP cameras here

Analog cameras lose picture quality over long cable. On a factory compound, the far gate or godown ends up as a blur. IP cameras send a digital signal over network cable, get power through the same cable (PoE), and keep the picture sharp to the NVR. Distances beyond 100 metres get an extender or a fibre link. More on the IP camera page.

Planning details that matter on industrial sites

PowerRecorder, switches and cameras on a UPS, so a power cut doesn't blank the night's footage.
EarthingProper earthing for outdoor poles. Lightning and machine surges kill unprotected cameras.
CableOutdoor-grade cable in conduit, clipped high, away from forklifts and loading areas.
RecordingLarger disks or two disks, sized for 30 days if your auditors or insurers ask for it.

We can also run the factory office's computers, printers and network, and look after everything under one AMC.

Common questions

Our gate is 200 metres from the office. Can a camera work that far?

Network cable carries a signal reliably for about 100 metres. Beyond that we use a PoE extender, a small network switch in a weatherproof box, or a fibre link, depending on the distance.

Dust and heat kill our cameras. What helps?

Use outdoor-rated cameras with a proper sunshade, fit them away from direct exhaust or furnace heat, and clean the lenses on a schedule. An AMC covers that cleaning.

Can we see the factory cameras from our home in the city?

Yes. The NVR connects to the internet and the cameras show in the app on your phone, wherever you are.

Something not working? Call before you come.

We can often tell over the phone whether it's a quick fix or a day's job.
