CCTV for housing societies and apartments
Gate, parking, lift lobbies and stairwells, recorded in the security cabin and viewable by committee members on their phones.
Surya Computers installs and maintains CCTV systems for housing societies and apartment complexes in Chandkheda, Motera, Jagatpur, Gota, Zundal and Tragad. We survey the complex, give the committee an itemised quote, install, and train the security staff.

How we work with a committee
- Walk-through with a committee memberWe mark each camera point on a simple plan, with the reason for each one.
- Itemised quoteCameras, NVR, hard disks, cable length, poles, UPS and labour, line by line. Two brand options.
- Installation in phases if neededGate and parking first, blocks next, if the budget is spread across months.
- Handover and guard trainingHow to check live view, find footage by time, and export a clip to a pen drive.
Things that go wrong in society systems
We get called to fix many society CCTV setups installed by others. The usual problems: cable runs too long for analog cameras (blurry far blocks), all cameras on one cheap SMPS that fails in summer, and a recorder disk that filled up months ago and quietly stopped saving footage. For larger complexes we recommend IP cameras with PoE switches, and a yearly AMC that checks recording every quarter.
Common questions
Can residents see the society cameras on their phones?
It's possible, but most committees limit viewing to the secretary, chairman and security cabin to protect residents' privacy. We set up whichever access the committee approves.
Can you read number plates at the gate?
Ordinary cameras capture plates in daylight but struggle at night with headlights. For reliable number plates, the gate needs a camera placed specifically for it, often with a narrow lens. We'll show sample footage before you decide.
How do we compare your quote with others?
Ask every vendor for the same details: number of cameras, resolution, recorder channels, hard disk size, cable length and type, and warranty. Our quote is itemised that way so it's easy to compare.
Who maintains it after installation?
We offer a yearly AMC with quarterly checks of every camera, the recorder and hard disk, plus breakdown visits.
Something not working? Call before you come.
We can often tell over the phone whether it's a quick fix or a day's job.
