How a repair works at our shop
Same steps for a ₹15,000 student laptop and an office workstation. You know the fault and the price before we change anything.
Every device that comes in goes through the same five steps. Nothing is replaced until you've heard the price and said yes.
- Booking or walk-inYou bring it to the counter, or we collect it from Chandkheda, Tragad, Motera, Jagatpur, Gota or Zundal. We note the model, the problem in your words, and what accessories came with it.
- CheckingWe power it up, test the obvious parts first (adapter, battery, RAM, display cable), then go deeper. Most faults are found the same day. Board faults can take longer.
- Call with fault and priceYou get a call or WhatsApp with what's wrong, what it costs, and how long it'll take. If there are options, such as an original or a compatible screen, we give both prices.
- Repair and testingAfter the repair we run the machine under load for a while: charging, Wi-Fi, keyboard, speakers, camera. A laptop that only "works" for five minutes isn't fixed.
- HandoverYou check it at the counter. Replaced parts are handed back to you. The bill lists the part, the warranty period and the date.
Original, compatible or refurbished parts
For screens, batteries and keyboards there are usually two or three grades in the market. We tell you which grade is going in and what it costs, and you choose.
| Grade | What it means | When it makes sense |
|---|---|---|
| Original / OEM | Same brand and spec as the factory part | Newer laptops, office machines, anything under brand warranty |
| Compatible (A-grade) | Same size and connector, different maker | Laptops 3+ years old where cost matters more |
| Refurbished / pulled | Tested used part from another unit | Rare or discontinued models where new parts aren't available |
Your data
We don't open your documents, photos or browser. When a job needs Windows reinstalled or a drive replaced, we copy your user folders to a backup drive first and tell you where everything is afterwards. If the disk itself is failing, that becomes a data recovery job and we'll explain the difference before starting.
Warranty
Parts we replace carry a warranty of [CONFIRM: warranty period by part type, e.g. screens 3 months, batteries 6 months]. Software work is covered for [CONFIRM: days] days if the same problem comes back. Physical damage, liquid spills and drops after handover aren't covered. Full details are on the warranty policy page.
Things we won't do: install cracked software, bypass a BIOS password on a laptop you can't show is yours, or get past the lock on a device signed in to someone else's account.
Common questions
What if the repair costs more than the laptop is worth?
We tell you straight. For an old machine with a dead board, a refurbished laptop is often the smarter spend, and we'll show you what that would cost so you can compare.
Can I wait at the shop while it's repaired?
For software jobs, keyboard swaps and most battery changes, yes, if the part is in stock. Screens and board work usually need the device to stay with us.
Will you install pirated software?
No. We install genuine Windows and Office with your licence key, or help you buy one. Pirated copies cause updates to fail and often carry malware.
Something not working? Call before you come.
We can often tell over the phone whether it's a quick fix or a day's job.
