We install and repair software on laptops and desktops at our shop in Tragad, near Nirma University: Windows, drivers, MS Office, Tally, antivirus, and cleanup of viruses and pop-up malware.
Windows 10 and 11 installation
A proper install is more than booting from a pen drive. The part that takes time is the drivers: Wi-Fi, touchpad gestures, function keys, audio, and the chipset drivers that stop the battery draining too fast. We install the right ones from the manufacturer for your exact model, run updates, and check every key and port before handing it back.
Before anything is erased, we back up your user folders. After the install you get your files back in the same places, plus your browser bookmarks.
Virus and malware removal
Signs we see every week: browser opening ad pages on its own, a new search engine you never chose, files renamed with odd extensions, the PC suddenly crawling. Most cases are adware from a "free download" site, and a careful cleanup fixes them without reinstalling Windows. Ransomware that has encrypted files is a different matter. Stop using the PC, disconnect it from the internet, and bring it in.
MS Office, Tally and business software
We install Microsoft 365 or Office 2021 with your account, Tally Prime with data migration from an older PC, and common business tools like PDF editors, printer software, and GST utilities. Licences must be genuine. We don't install cracked copies, because they break with updates and are a common way malware gets in.
Data backup
A backup is something you set up before you need it. We set up automatic backup to an external drive or a cloud account, and show you how to check that it's actually running. For offices, a small NAS can back up every PC overnight. See server and NAS setup.
Slow even after a fresh install? If your laptop still has a mechanical hard disk, the install won't fix the slowness for long. An SSD upgrade will.
Common questions
Will a Windows reinstall delete my files?
A clean install wipes the system drive, so we copy your Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Pictures and browser bookmarks to a backup drive first, then put them back afterwards. Tell us about any other folders you use.
Can my old laptop run Windows 11?
Windows 11 needs a supported processor (roughly Intel 8th generation or AMD Ryzen 2000 and newer), TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot. If your laptop doesn't qualify, we install Windows 10 or advise an upgrade.
Do you provide Windows and Office licences?
We can source genuine licences, or install with a key you already own. [CONFIRM: confirm whether you sell licences, and which kinds]
My Tally data is on the old PC. Can you move it?
Yes. We copy the Tally data folder, install Tally on the new machine, point it to the data and open your company to check everything is there.
