The HP hinge problem
On a lot of consumer HP laptops, the hinge is fixed into plastic posts in the lid and base. When a hinge stiffens, those posts take the load and crack, and the bezel starts lifting near the bottom corner. If you notice the screen corner lifting even slightly, get it looked at. A mount repair is far cheaper than a new lid, screen cable and screen. See hinge repair.

Screens, batteries, keyboards and adapters for the popular HP models are easy to source in Ahmedabad. For older or less common models we check availability before quoting, so you're not left waiting with a half-opened laptop. HP's newer laptops mostly charge over USB-C or a 4.5 mm blue-tip pin. Using the right wattage adapter matters, especially on Victus and Omen models.
Common questions
Where do I find my HP laptop's exact model?
On the sticker under the laptop, look for the product number (something like 15s-fq5xxx or 6Q7X8PA). You can also press Fn + Esc on most HP laptops to see the system information screen.
My HP laptop is still under warranty. Should I come to you?
Take it to an HP authorised service centre while it's under warranty. We handle HP laptops once the warranty has ended, or for damage the warranty doesn't cover.
Why does my HP keyboard replacement cost more than for some other laptops?
On many HP 15s and Pavilion models, the keyboard is riveted into the top case. Either the whole top case is replaced, or the rivets are removed and the new keyboard is fixed with screws. Both take more work than a screw-in keyboard.
