CCTV for homes and flats

A camera at the door, one in the hall, and for bungalows the gate and parking. Viewing on your phone, recording you can play back when a parcel goes missing.

We install home CCTV for flats, row houses and bungalows in Chandkheda, Tragad, Motera, Jagatpur, Gota, Zundal and around Nirma University. Most home jobs are planned and installed within a day or two of the site visit.

What families usually want covered

When we visit a home, the list is almost always the same, just in a different order:

  1. Main door: who rang, who left a parcel, who's been hanging around the corridor.
  2. Gate and parking (bungalows and row houses): two-wheelers and cars at night.
  3. Hall or entry: elderly parents at home alone, house help, kids back from school.
  4. Back side or terrace door: often forgotten, often the weak spot.

A few things we've learned in homes

  • A camera facing the gate straight on gets blinded by car headlights at night. We angle it slightly so number plates stay readable.
  • Indoor cameras near a window turn faces into silhouettes in the afternoon. We place them with the window behind the camera, not in front.
  • The DVR should be somewhere a thief won't find in ten seconds. Not on top of the TV.

Viewing is set up on your phone and a family member's phone before we leave. See mobile view setup.

Common questions

Where should the cameras go in a flat?

One outside covering your main door and the corridor approach, and one inside covering the hall and entry. A balcony camera makes sense on lower floors.

We're in a rented flat. Will you drill walls?

We use a few small screw holes and run cables in surface casing along wall edges. Nothing is chiselled, and the setup comes off cleanly if you move. For no cabling at all, consider Wi-Fi cameras.

Can I talk through the camera to the delivery person?

Some cameras have a built-in mic and speaker for two-way talk. We'll suggest a door camera with this if you want it.

Something not working? Call before you come.

We can often tell over the phone whether it's a quick fix or a day's job.
